From classical to rock, from improvisational to meticulously scored, Lori says “I can’t think of very many kinds of things that I haven’t done.” She learns from everyone she plays with and always has several irons in the fire, testing music from different countries and learning new theories until it’s time to bear down with a recital “to learn these pieces for real.” Each of her bands has repertoires pulled from all over the world, except for her improvisational band, which might be out of this world.
