The Black Cat Orchestra fans will recognize their favorite original and traditional world music in The Shifting Light. With the unusual instrumentation of Lori on cello and partner Kyle Hanson on accordion, the sound here is slightly softer and more intimate but just as rich and eclectic. Sharing a similar sense of understated, cinematic drama and complex emotional layering, The Shifting Light perform music with Eastern European, Latin American and Asian essence at a pitch as expressive as the human voice.
